"Head"/Nathan Oliveira.
Stephen De Staebler, Hung Liu and Nathan Oliveira are among the illustrious artists who pay tribute to Peter Selz--founding director of the Berkeley Art Museum--in a must-see show at b. sakata garo. Lithographs of Christo and Jeanne-Claude's "Running Fences", Frank LaPena's mystical painting of Mount Shasta and William Wiley's ironic icon "Mr. Peanut" demonstrate the diversity of aesthetic and social stances that artists championed by Selz have taken. Accompained by a fully illustrated catalog that is an artwork in itself, the show continues through Dec 1 at 923 20th St. (916) 447-4276. www.bsakatagaro.com
